Immunogold secondary antibodies of highest quality are available from Aurion. In our company, we are specialized in designing and manufacturing gold labeled antibodies for use in electron microscopy, light microscopy and in bioassays. All our reagents are for research purposes only. Our conventional immunogold reagents are available in four different particle diameters. They are well suited for multiple labeling without overlapping thanks to their monodisperse size population.

Immunogold secondary antibodies with wide range of antigen specificities
Conventional immunogold labeling relies in general on the use of secondary gold labeled antibodies. The gold nanoparticles used can be directly visualized in the electron microscope. In general, a silver enhancement is not needed. A suitable alternative to immunogold secondary antibodies is Protein A gold. Aurion’s conventional gold reagents are built around gold nanoparticles with a diameter of 6, 10, 15 or 25 nm. Conventional secondary antibody gold conjugates are available in a wide range of antigen specificities, such as:
- Anti-rabbit
- Anti-mouse
- Anti-chicken
- Anti-human
- Anti-biotin
The antibodies we use for conjugation are from goats, donkeys, and rabbits, and are affinity purified and cross-adsorbed.
Ultra-small immunogold reagents for a more efficient result
Conventional reagents are optimized for immuno electron microscopy applications. Aurion’s ultra-small immunogold reagents, prepared with subnanometer gold particles, give you superb results in all applications. Ultra-small conjugates behave similarly to uncoupled molecules. The small particle size will decrease steric hindrance. When used in conjunction with silver enhancement reagents, these secondary antibody gold conjugates provide optimal and efficient results independently of the visualization technique.
